After intense questioning, Aftab confessed to killing Shraddha during a fight about marriage on May 18, 2022. He strangled her and then dismembered her body into 35 pieces using a saw and a fridge. He got the idea to do this from the American TV show “Dexter”.

How Did Aftab Poonawala & Shraddha Walker’s Love Story Begin?
Aftab Amin Poonawalla and Shraddha Walker met while working as call attendants at the same company in Mumbai. They fell in love and began living together in a rented room. However, when Shraddha’s parents learned about their relationship, they disapproved and stopped her from seeing Aftab. Shraddha left home, cutting ties with her parents, but still kept in touch through social media. Shraddha’s mother passed away in 2020, and Shraddha had told her mother that Aftab beat her.
On May 8, 2022, Shraddha and Aftab came to Delhi for a job and rented a room in Chhatarpur after staying in a hostel for some time. Shraddha’s father filed a missing report for her when he learned from her friends that she had come to Delhi with Aftab. When Shraddha went missing from Chhatarpur, her case was presented at Mehrauli Police Station.
