Born in Mumbai in 1971, he attended Jamnabai Narsee School for his early education. Anupam was interested in business from a young age but faced difficulties when he tried to start his own businesses without sufficient knowledge. He worked with his father for two years to learn about business and completed a B.Tech degree from St. Xavier College in Mumbai. While in college, he helped his father in the factory.
