Arjun Kapoor is an Indian movie actor who primarily works in Bollywood movies. He was born on June 26th, 1985 and is the son of movie producers Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor. Before becoming an actor, Arjun worked as an assistant director on his father’s productions “No Entry” (2005) and “Wanted” (2009). He made his acting debut in 2012 with the movie “Ishaqzaade” and subsequently appeared in several movies including “Gunday” (2014), “2 States” (2014), “Finding Fanny” (2014) and “Ki & Ka” (2016).

Arjun has talked about his father’s second marriage and how it was difficult when he was a kid, but he has since come to terms with it. His mother passed away in 2012. Arjun struggled with obesity during his teens and early twenties, weighing over 140 kg. He later overcame this and went on to achieve success in movies, with “Gunday” and “2 States” becoming box office hits in 2014. However, his subsequent movies failed to perform well at the box office, leading to a setback in his career.

After completing his higher secondary education from Arya Vidya Mandir school in Mumbai, he failed his class twelve board exams and left his studies to pursue his interest in acting. Arjun Kapoor started working in the film industry as an assistant director in 2003 for the movie “Kal Ho Naa Ho” and later worked as an associate producer on “No Entry” (2005) and “Wanted” (2009). He met Salman Khan on the sets of “No Entry,” who encouraged him to pursue acting. At that time, he weighed over 100 kg. He worked on his body and acting skills under Salman Khan’s guidance for four years before starting to audition for acting roles. He landed the role of Parma Chauhan in Habib Faisal’s crime drama “Ishaqzaade” after a few auditions, which kick-started his acting career.
