Tabu has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice and has received six Filmfare Awards, including a record of four Critics Awards for Best Actress. In 2011, the Indian government awarded her the Padma Shri.

Tabu Singh Career
Tabu is an Indian actress who made her comeback to Bollywood in 2010 after a gap of three years with the romantic comedy film Toh Baat Pakki!, which was a commercial failure. In the same year, she also acted in Khuda Kasam and Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai, both of which faced issues and delays in their release. In 2011, she made a brief appearance in the Malayalam film Urumi, in which she featured in a song “Aaranne Aaranne” that became a chartbuster. Tabu’s second Hollywood film, Life of Pi, directed by Ang Lee, was released in 2012. Her comeback to mainstream commercial cinema was in the 2014 Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho. In 2015, she appeared in the murder-mystery film Drishyam, which received highly positive reviews, and a cameo appearance in Talvar.
In 2016, she starred in Fitoor, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. Tabu broke from her mould of serious cinema in 2017 with a role in the fourth edition of Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal film series, Golmaal Again. In 2018, Tabu had a cameo role in the biopic Sanju, and starred in Sriram Raghavan’s black comedy crime thriller Andhadhun, which was highly acclaimed and established her as one of the top actresses of the year. She also appeared in De De Pyaar De and Bharat in 2019, and made a comeback to Telugu cinema after a decade in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in 2020, which was a commercial success and won her a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Telugu.
